Just Smile...

Confesso que tenho muito pouca admiração pelos políticos brasileiros, mas gostava do modo combativo do ex Vice-Presidente Sr. José de Alencar, sobretudo sua firmeza e seu modo de ser, sempre com um sorriso amplo, alegre e ingênuo, mesmo em momentos difíceis.

Na última terça-feira, dia de sua morte, acabado de chegar a São Paulo, fiquei num hotel bem perto da Rua Barata Ribeiro, onde ele faleceu (Hospital Sírio Libanês). Por volta das 15hs, verificando a grande movimentação nas cercanias da Barata Ribeiro, fiz uma oração de conforto pela família de José de Alencar, mas me veio logo à mente uma das minhas canções prediletas "Smile" de Chaplin, Turner e Parsons.

Eu acho que a letra dessa música se identifica muito com a vida dele nos últimos anos. Essa música (cantada por Nat King Cole) marcou muito a minha infância, pois minha mãe colocava o long-play de Nat para eu dormir de tarde.
